Art Club worked on multiple projects in various art mediums and forms.
Our focus was colour. The students learnt techniques such colour blending with pencils and burnishing. They completed a colour sheet using these techniques and a Dory artwork utilising colour pencils. They continued to explore colour through experimenting with powdered watercolour and pen.
Another project Art Club has been working on since last year is centred on depicting the College’s Four Pillars in a visual representation. In discussion, the group decided that birds in flight best represented the Pillars being a symbol of peace and harmony. We thought the birds could be our universal symbol for Wholeness, Hope, Justice and Revelation.
I congratulate students on their achievements in Art Club this year and hope to see them next year for more exciting art projects.
